Meet our new kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Kris Smith! Kris graduated from The University of Memphis with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education in 2010. With 12 years of teaching experience under her belt, she’s a seasoned educator!
Celebrating 19 years wedded with her husband Brian, Kris is also a loving mom to four incredible children: Carter (17), Cason (14), Layton (10), and the adorable Millie (4). When she’s not inspiring young minds in the classroom, Kris is an avid photographer and a nature enthusiast. Her family’s favorite pastime is enjoying beach trips together, and during the summer, she extends her care to foster kittens. Her favorite Bible verse is “So what are we going to say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31.
Kris has deep-rooted connections at CTK, having been christened and confirmed here, just like her family generations before. We’re absolutely thrilled to have her on board, nurturing our young learners with boundless care, creativity, and a thirst for knowledge.
